The 10th Jubilee Language Contest |

 For the first time the
contest was organized in 2001 as a celebration of the Year of European
Languages. At once it gained admiration of teachers and students. For nine
editions there took part over 100 thousand students from all our country. This
year's motto is " The Prosperous Youth". Because of the jubilee, the form of
the edition has been completely changed. Every participant had to solve a
unique on-line test lasting 40 minutes. Thanks to the new form an enormous
number of students from our school took part in the contest, joining 7373 other
participants. This year's German edition in our school won Mr Błaszczyk's
students: Dawid Stawowy and Angelika Pachołek, the English version gave
satisfaction to Mr Dariusz Polus, whose students Damian Lubkowski and Hubert
Polus will represent our school it the finals of the contest in Poznań.

A SCHOOL STAGE OF A MATHEMATICAL CONTEST |

On the 18th
of February in our school was held a school stage of a mathematical contest of
our district. There took part 25 students from first classes. For the next
stage were qualified the following students:

 Our school as the only one from our district qualify for
the "Ace of Competence". The Project allows students to develop
competencies in mathematics and physics and a competence of entrepreneurship
through participation in school and extracurricular activities. The partnership
in the project create the University in Szczecin
and COMBIDATA Poland Ltd. Participants of 3-year project are students of
first-class business and technical school of computer science. For students'
projecting group mathematics - physical profile were qualified 20 students:
Matthew Frysk, Peter Grabczak, Kamil Krakowiak, Adrian Michalski, Jacob
Oborski, Patrick Pawlowski, Bartosz Spicker, Blazej Szamburski, Karina
Szepczyńska. Lukas Wenz. Another students' group of business profile consists of following
students: Sonia Baczynska, Maria Borowiecka, Catherine Ceglarek, Natalia
Grośty, Dominika Jarosz, Daria Nyklewicz, Marta Friday, Malvina Radunz ,
Angelika Stróżyńska, Milena Szyc. The rteachers in charge of are: Anna Dolna and
Anna Jessa, specialists from various fields: mathematics, physics, vocational
subjects, science and economics.

OUR SCHOOL IN THE “MARKET OF PROFESSIONS” |

 On Saturday,
27 February 2010 a
sport hall in Trzcianka was filled with gymnasium
students and their parents. It was because of "Market of Professions".
For the twelfth time, high schools,
institutions supporting education, representatives of companies, came in order
to offer their facilities to present to the future "customers." As
every year, the event was officially opened by Mr. Wieslaw Maszewski.
Traditionally our school presented a rich and attractive offer. There was prepared
a promotional booth, a multimedia presentation, a number of leaflets, gadgets
which tempted and attracted the interested people. Grammar school students and
their parents can count on professional knowledge of the management and the
teachers, and find out more about the school life through conversations with
students who with passion and professionalism provided information.
Our offer focused on
vocational training, is a response to labor market needs and current social and
economic transformations. We introduced new subjects: the technician of the
organization of advertising and the farmer technician. It is certainly an
opportunity for young people to get an interesting job in the future.
Let us hope that it will result in good choices
of young people, and our school community will be enriched with new and
interesting students.
